This study aimed to prepare new biologically active nitric oxide compounds. A series of novel nitric oxide donor derivatives were synthesized in two steps, in light of this point. In the first step, the salt of carboxylic acid was prepared with sodium bicarbonate from the reaction of carboxylic acids(1a-e) & (2a-e), then the salts were heated with dibromoalkane to obtain haloester compounds. While, the second step, under dry and dark conditions, the compounds prepared above were treated with silver nitrate in acetonitrile as solvent. Twenty products were prepared, and their physical and spectral properties were measured. Some of these products had their antimicrobial action tested
