    Parkinsonism is an umbrella term used to identify patients with clinical features consisting of bradykinesia, rigidity, rest tremors and postural instability. It can be due to Parkinson’s Disease (PD), Atypical parkinsonism, Secondary parkinsonism (usually caused by dopamine blockers, stroke, tumor, head injury or any such secondary causes) and parkinsonism as part of another condition like certain types of spinocerebellar ataxias, dystonic syndromes, pantothenate kinase associated iron accumulation in brain, for examples.
