Modified Protocol to Use Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) as a Local Antibiotic Delivery System: In Vitro study

Background: Plasma concentrate products have rapidly developed during the last few years, and it had significantly improved regenerative medicine because of its specific features which enhance healing and reduce pain after surgeries. This research aims to improve the antibacterial effectiveness of Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) by adding different forms of antibiotics and evaluate the physical and antibacterial properties of the new PRF. Methods: In vitro experimental study was conducted; modified protocol was used which use two stages of centrifuging were used to prepare PRF. Bacterial colonies and Miller-Hinton medium was prepared.
