The literature review provides up-to-date data on the main causes of acute renal injury in patients with COVID-19 with complications of hypoxia, respiratory failure and sepsis against the background of various types of drug treatment. The relationship of renal insufficiency with the effect of the use of diuretics and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are analyzed. The assessment of the combined use of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors and angiotensin-II receptor blockers and their possible role in the pathogenesis of acute renal injury is given.
